Post Convention Slump – Introvert Recover Phase
Day 3 back from World Fantasy Convention and I’m feeling a bit of a let down.
Convention was great, and it’s awesome to be home again, but now that the adreneline has subsided, and the routine has started to reform, I’m in that ‘tween place — the lull where my exhaustion is starting to lift a little and I’m turning around for things that I should be doing, and nothing comes into focus.
Day Jobbe churns along unabated, and I’ve managed the gym on Monday and Tae Kwon Do last night.
But the writerly brain is stumbling around like it’s just waking up and grousing for caffiene.
Maybe tonight words will be committed.

The great paradox of a Con like WFC – simultaneously stoking and smothering the wordfires.

Exactly. I look forward to the exhaustion lifting and the forward momentum WFC will afford me over the next couple of months.

Count me fully among the stoked. San Jose was exactly the kick start I needed to get back in the game.
