Black Blade Blues short-listed for the Compton Crook Award.

Just got back from the Rainforest Writers Retreat late yesterday, and I intended to blog about that experience, but I got an email today that just blows me away.

Black Blade Blues has been short-listed for the Compton Crook Award.

I haven’t seen the list yet, but there are 10 books selected from all the first novels published in 2010.

I’ll find out in April how I do. That will be almost a full year from when the book originally launched (April, 27, 2010) and only a few days after the mass market comes out (March 29, 2011). How cool is that?

More about the Rainforest Writers Retreat in the next day or so. Right now, I’m flying high on this news.
